Security model
SNAPVERE is a local-first desktop utility. Current capture workflows do not upload screenshot pixels, recent-capture history or user files to analytics or telemetry services. Core capture has no account or cloud dependency.
- Region, Window and Screen Capture are designed to run on your Windows device without requiring a SNAPVERE cloud account.
- Your captures remain on your Windows device unless you choose to share or move them elsewhere.
- SNAPVERE stays lightweight while waiting in the notification area and activates capture functionality when needed.
Safe download practice
Use the dedicated SNAPVERE download page or the official . The public v0.0.8 binaries are currently not Authenticode-signed.
When integrity assurance is required, verify the file against the published .
Verify SHA-256 on Windows
PowerShell can calculate the SHA-256 digest of a downloaded file:
Get-FileHash .\SNAPVERE-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Compare the resulting hash character-for-character with the value published in
the SHA-256 values on the official download page
. A mismatch means the file should not be trusted.
On-device preferences
SNAPVERE does not require a cloud profile for capture preferences or normal operation, and screenshot content is not sent to analytics or telemetry services.
Release checks
SNAPVERE v0.0.8 is published as two universal Windows executables: Setup and Portable. Each package can select a compatible x86, x64 or ARM64 application payload automatically. Release checks cover application startup, capture surfaces, installation and removal behavior, and package integrity information before publication.
Release checks cover supported package and application behaviour. Protected desktop content may still be restricted by Windows, policy or the application displaying that content.
